Expedition 33 gains an Arabic interface and subtitles

On 30 June 2026 Sandfall Interactive and publisher Kepler Interactive shipped a Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 update with Arabic text. The interface and subtitles are translated, and the language list now reaches 20.

Arabic runs right to left, so the studio had to rebuild menus rather than drop in a new font. Players had been asking for this for a long time.

Lead writer and voice and localization producer Jennifer Svedberg-Yen said the work with Riotloc and Qloc took nearly a year. Arabic-speaking fans had written in often, and the team was glad to open the story to them.

QA coordinator Naja Dalmagne described the same effort from the testing side: the translation, the interface rework, and checks by several groups. For her, the point was to make the plot feel closer.
