Rockstar turns off the GTA Online casino in Australia

Players in Australia can no longer use the gambling tables at the Diamond Casino & Resort. After an update, the Lucky Wheel, poker, blackjack, roulette and the other casino games stopped opening there, including the private tables in the penthouse.

Chips themselves are not fully locked. Players can still buy and sell them, and the daily free stack of 1,000 chips is still paid out. Dataminer Tex2 found region flags marked AU in the game files, so this looks like a deliberate switch rather than a broken client.

Rockstar has not commented. Forum posts tie the change to tighter Australian gambling rules. Some players are already looking ahead: if a future online mode gets its own casino, the Australian version may ship with a shorter list of games.
