Warhorse PR puts the next Kingdom Come in a 2027–2028 window

At ChinaJoy 2026, Warhorse public-relations director Tobias Stolz-Zwilling told Shanghai Daily that the next Kingdom Come is planned for the coming financial year. The report frames that as a 2027–2028 window, not a calendar date and not a trailer.

He described the studio as split. Most of the team is on the sequel, and a smaller group is in early research on a Middle-earth game drawn from The Lord of the Rings. For Kingdom Come itself the line stays the same: a historical setting, without bending the series toward whatever else is selling.

A horizon that short is tight for a game of this size. For now it is a roadmap comment from the PR director, not a store page.
