Alex Cox thanks players for a year of Mafia: The Old Country and points to Man of Honor

On 9 August 2026, at the first anniversary of Mafia: The Old Country, Hangar 13 game director Alex Cox published a short letter to players. The studio thanks them for the response to Enzo Favara’s journey and says that support is what made it possible to continue his story.

In the letter Cox points to the Man of Honor expansion: Ennio Salieri joins the Sicilian story of the Torrisi family. The studio says it will share that stretch next week. On the release calendar, that is 14 August.

The expansion, as described ahead of launch, brings two story chapters, new weapons, period vehicles, and extra contracts for Free Ride. Over the previous twelve months the game also received technical patches that improved how it runs on PC and consoles.
