Year two of CrossWorlds starts 3 November with duels, Godzilla, and a $39.99 price
On 12 October 2026 Sega laid out the second year of support for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, starting 3 November 2026. The plan has new modes, racers, and six paid packs, among them Godzilla, Evangelion, Sanrio, Final Fantasy VII, and Persona.
The new mode is called Duel, a one-on-one race. Winning there is tied to items and to Duel Boost, where energy builds up and spends on a hard burst of speed. The mode comes with 15 new gadgets and a slot that strengthens single-slot modifications. Free characters, and heroes from paid packs released after launch, will also be able to race as computer opponents.
The first paid pack, Godzilla, is set for 3 November: the Godzilla Escape course and three vehicles based on Godzilla, King Ghidorah, and Mothra. January 2027 brings the Evangelion pack with Rei Ayanami, Asuka Shikinami Langley, and the Tokyo-III course. Later the roster is due Hello Kitty and Kuromi, the SEGALAND course, and packs based on Final Fantasy VII and Persona. On the free side, Bayonetta is set for 3 November, Aigis from Persona 3 for early 2027, and a McLaren car is also due in November. New heroes come with festivals that hand out rewards.
The same day, the standing price of the standard edition was cut from $69.99 to $39.99, and Digital Deluxe from $89.99 to $59.99. The second season pass costs $29.99 and bundles six packs. The racer is on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
