Galactic Racer passed 15,400 concurrent players on Steam in its first day
In the first day after launch, the concurrent Steam population of STAR WARS: Galactic Racer climbed past 15,400 players.
Buyer reviews at that point were mostly positive: about 74% of 568 ratings. Players praise the speed, the handling, and a kinship with Burnout and Need for Speed, plus the atmosphere, the audio, and the fact that the Unreal Engine 5 game behaves itself right after you start it. The complaints are that keys cannot be rebound, there are not many tracks, the amount of content feels short for $59.99, and the interface is awkward. Even angry reviews often still call the racing itself engaging, and say the handling and sound carry Star Wars well.
Fuse Games developed it and Secret Mode published it. It launched on 6 October 2026 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Shade races in an underground Galactic League after the Empire falls, on speeders, speeder bikes, and pods. The campaign is a roguelike chain of races, and some upgrades survive a failed run.
