A second RTX 5060 Ti was used as a DLSS 5 accelerator
An enthusiast moved DLSS 5 Neural Rendering onto a second graphics card through the MGPU Bridge add-on for ReShade. The first card draws the frame, the second runs the network, and the image goes out on its own monitor.
The bench was two GeForce RTX 5060 Ti cards with 16 GB each. In The Blood of Dawnwalker at 1080p and DLAA, Neural Rendering on the main card dropped the rate from about 67–70 frames to 44. After the move to the second card the counter returned to 67–70. In Quality the gain was from 54–55 to 91, and in Performance from 59 to 106–107. Without DLSS 5 those modes sat near 98–99 and 127–131. In Ultra Performance the second card lifted the result from 69–71 to 157, against 172 with no neural pass.
In Cyberpunk 2077 the author also noted a GPU temperature drop of as much as 21 degrees. The setup so far works only with DirectX 12, two RTX 50 cards, and two monitors. Mixed 50-series models were not tested, and RTX 40 and older are unsupported.
It is an experiment, not an NVIDIA driver. It shows that a heavy neural pass can be lifted off the main card with almost no loss of what that card draws itself.
