A Korean streamer compared Crimson Desert’s pace to Red Dead 2
A Korean streamer who says he finished Crimson Desert before release described hero switching like GTA 5: the camera pulls out and returns, and the characters keep doing their own things. Once he switched to Ungka in the middle of a huge battle and had to fight his way out. He did not break down story turns because of the embargo.
He played without the day-one patch and saw minor bugs. Footsteps, the run and odd reactions to hits from earlier footage, he said, were already fixed. He has about 600 hours in Red Dead Redemption 2 and puts the pace next to that. Regional difficulty rises to the east and north, and the main story rushed, without building Kliff, can be very hard. On an RTX 5080 at cinematic 1440p he saw no drops. The inventory is tight at the start, and side quests add space. At ten hours a day he still had not seen half the bosses.
Another reviewer, asked for an impression, pointed to a 1998 EGM line about Zelda: Ocarina of Time: enjoy it, because games will not be better than this for a very long time. This is a stream retelling, not a studio measurement.
