Erica Lindbeck says Misty started as an empty role beside Meredith

Erica Lindbeck, the voice of Misty Olszewski, said the character nearly stayed a walk-on. Early on, Misty had a few stock lines about esoterica and chakras. The role felt empty to the actress, a spare part next to her other job, Meredith Stout of Militech.

The writers rewrote the dialogue several times while they figured out why Misty was in the story. Then they made her a quiet opposite of Night City: calm, a little eccentric, with tarot and kindness against the chrome.

She received more screen time, and the character mattered more than the draft suggested. Lindbeck calls Misty one of her favorite roles.

It is a typical path for secondary faces in 2077: first a function outside Viktor's shop, then a person players return to on their own.
