After seven hours, John Buckley called Crimson Desert his dream game
John Buckley, from the publishing side of Pocketpair, the Palworld studio, spent about seven hours in Crimson Desert and called it his dream game. He mostly explored and barely followed the story.
He does not wave off the criticism: the game will not suit everyone, and he understands the complaints about controls and mechanics. His own time stayed positive. He puts the scale and the number of activities next to the complaints, not instead of them.
This is one developer’s note after a short session, not a Steam roundup.
