Steam reviews of the Tarnished Pack fell to Mixed

The paid Tarnished Pack for Elden Ring met a split reaction. At about $5, or 359 rubles, it adds the Heavy Knight and the Knight of Idus, several armor sets, weapons, and three looks for Torrent.

The argument is mostly about the horse. The looks were immediately compared with the paid horse armor from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which became the example of cosmetics sold apart from the game. That is where the fear comes from that FromSoftware is taking a first step toward more frequent paid looks.

Another comparison sits beside it. CD Projekt Red is giving away a large update for The Witcher 3 that essentially rebuilds the game, while here something that could have arrived free costs money of its own.

On Steam, at the time of the discussion, the reviews were mixed, about 50% positive. Some people call the price fair if you start a new run for the classes and the armor. Others reject the sale of a horse's appearance from a studio that used to avoid that. In size this is a small pack, not a second Shadow of the Erdtree.
