Dune: Awakening on PS5 Pro targets 60 fps and dynamic 4K
On 27 August 2026 Funcom released a seven-minute Dune: Awakening trailer captured on PlayStation 5 Pro. The console launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S is still 22 September.
PS5 and PS5 Pro will offer two graphics modes. Performance targets 60 frames per second at dynamic 4K, and quality targets 30 frames per second, also at dynamic 4K. On Pro, both modes are promised a higher native resolution, with extra visual upgrades in the quality mode.
The console launch will include the content the PC version gained from June 2025 onward: a full solo mode, adjustable difficulty, broader gameplay options, and the end of the current story line. Deluxe and Ultimate Edition owners get in earlier, on 17 September, five days before the full release.
Funcom is still working on cross-play between PC and consoles, but it will not be there at launch, and no date has been given. On the same day, 22 September, the Filmic Archive DLC arrives at $9.99, with costumes drawn from Denis Villeneuve’s two films, new Sardaukar armor, and 73 base-building pieces in that style. The Xbox version will also be on Game Pass.
