A new Dune: Awakening trailer gathers console player reactions

On 28 September 2026 Funcom released a Dune: Awakening trailer built around reactions from console players. The video arrived shortly after the game reached PlayStation 5 and Xbox, and it sets gameplay footage next to those comments.

Arrakis still means gathering resources, building shelter, exploring a huge open world, and watching for the sandworm. Survival is mixed with RPG systems: there are solo activities and multiplayer mechanics, and the player chooses how the character develops.

The console release came with update 1.5. Its main piece is a full solo mode and a flexible difficulty setup, so Arrakis can be explored without constantly playing alongside other people.

Consoles sell the standard edition, Deluxe, and Ultimate. After the PC launch, Funcom widened the audience and kept the same idea of large-scale survival in the Dune universe.
