After the first reviews, E-Day entered Steam’s top four sellers
The first reviews of Gears of War: E-Day landed above expectations, which is a notable result for Xbox as Microsoft returns to a stricter exclusivity line.
The Coalition’s shooter rose to fourth on Steam’s worldwide bestseller chart. The jump lined up with the final reviews going live.
Above it at the time were free-to-play Counter-Strike 2 and the recent hit Ace Combat 8. Analysts allowed that, if the pace held, E-Day could reach the top of the paid chart.
The larger audience is still expected on the Xbox side, where the game is in Game Pass. The full release is 6 October.
