The Switch port author is preparing a Snapdragon build of GTA V
There is still no official Grand Theft Auto V for Android. Rockstar supports the game on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. A separate native ARM build is being assembled by M0jso of Paralympics Productions, the same author who already showed an unofficial port on the original Nintendo Switch. This is not the Windows version running through Winlator. It is an attempt to compile the game for phone chips.
For the first public Android build he lists a Snapdragon 865, 8 GB of memory and 65 GB of free space as the minimum. That first release is Snapdragon only. Older chips in the family may boot the game, but a stable frame rate is not promised. No release date has been set. Like the Switch version, it appears to rest on the Legacy code that leaked in 2023, not on an engine written from scratch. That console branch was 1.0.2699, recompiled for the Tegra X1.
A wider list from the author's channel names the Snapdragon 782G, 865, 870, 888, newer 7-series and 8-series chips including the 8 Elite, plus Qualcomm G and XR platforms. Chips under 1,069 points in Geekbench 6 single-core are filed as "it may start, with no guarantee." Exynos chips with Xclipse graphics — the 1480, 1580, 2200, 2400, 2400e, 2500 and 2600 — are out of the first release. Mali support is talked about for later. Tensor chips with PowerVR, and Helio platforms, are not on the list.
M0jso's build has not shipped. Files already circulating as "GTA V for Android" are not this project. A separate Chinese build exists, and from the reports it only comes up on some devices.
