Project Valor leak describes an arcade shooter with blood altars

On 15 July 2026, material surfaced for an unannounced Krafton project codenamed PUBG: Project Valor. Insider Sean Weber pointed to internal documents: the studio had apparently started a serious battle royale on Unreal Engine 5 with photoreal visuals, but the build closed testers saw was a different game.

People who played that build described the gunplay as arcade-like. Ballistics were simplified and aim assist was stronger. Fights take place in Twin Creeks, a foggy American town, rather than on a familiar wide battleground.

The same accounts add an occult layer. Players hunt blood altars for a special currency and retro cartridges that grant perks. Prankster lets you hack a car and rig it. Peek-A-Boo shows enemies through walls, but they can see you in return. Scrap scattered on the map is spent at mobile workbenches for ammo, armor, or grenades during the match.

Krafton had not announced the project as of mid-July. The same reports said a closed alpha ran through the month while the studio collected feedback. The documents list PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
