On PS5 Pro, Crimson Desert aims at 4K through newer PSSR
After complaints that Pearl Abyss was showing only PC, the PlayStation Blog posted details for PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro. The studio says it keeps detail in a large scene through Geometry Shader Oversubscription and NGG Culling.
On PS5 Pro the game uses the high CPU-frequency mode so travel across the world stays smoother. Improved PSSR, the same class of technology cited for Resident Evil Requiem, is meant to reach 4K at a higher frame rate. Ray tracing on Pro is richer than the base console, and the studio describes the light as more natural.
It is the first extended console description after a long run of PC videos. This blog post did not give a frames-per-second number.
